I am a qualified dance teacher who is passionate about dance and all my students. With more than 18 years in teaching experience I believe that each student has a dance written on his/her heart.  We just need to help them discover it by giving them the needed skill to express what is already there.

My dance journey started when I was 3 years old and asked my mom to take tap dance lessons.

By the age of 13 I was doing all dance styles including Freestyle, Jazz, modern, Tap, Hip-hop, Ballet and Disco.

My biggest dream was to become a dance teacher, and I started towards this goal.

At LPD we do yearly dance exams through registered governing bodies.

These include:
  • Ballet - The Dance Academy of South Africa (DASA)
  • Tap/Modern - Association of International Dance Teachers (AIDT)
  • Hip-hop -WX Hip-hop development program

We also partake in multiple yearly competitions, both provincial and national.

These competitions includes SADSC, Dance Fusion, LADF, DFG and more. (Our students’ emotional health is always our highest priority, especially when it comes to competing in competitions).

Most importantly we serve our king Jesus Christ through our dances. At LPD we always try to portray His character at competitions and other settings where we interact with other students and teachers, and most of all when we get together in our weekly classes. We work hard and do our best, always from a place of mutual respect.

If this sounds like the kind of studio you can associate with, feel free to register your child or if contact me for more info.

Kind regards
Whilma
